Meta Policy Overview


ClickChat.io is an official partner of Meta and follows all policies related to the usage of WhatsApp Business API. This document outlines our responsibilities, your responsibilities as a business, and how we collectively maintain compliance with Meta’s guidelines.


1. Data Privacy & User Consent

All businesses using WhatsApp via ClickChat must obtain clear consent from users before sending any message. Consent should be opt-in, transparent, and verifiable as per Meta’s standards.


2. Message Categories

WhatsApp messages are divided into categories: Utility, Authentication, and Marketing. Businesses must use approved templates for outbound notifications, ensuring compliance with Meta’s approval process.


3. Prohibited Content

Businesses must not send messages containing misleading information, spam, abusive content, or restricted services (e.g., gambling, adult content, illegal substances). Meta actively monitors compliance, and violations can result in account restrictions.


4. Data Protection & Security

ClickChat ensures end-to-end encryption of messages via WhatsApp API. All personal data is handled responsibly in compliance with GDPR, Indian IT Act, and Meta’s global data protection policies.

5. Business Verification

Businesses must complete Facebook Business Verification to access WhatsApp Business API. This includes providing valid business documents, tax identification, and proof of domain ownership.

6. Customer Support Compliance

Businesses are required to provide accurate business details, working hours, and a functional support channel to customers. Automated responses must clearly identify the business name and purpose.

7. Enforcement & Violations

Meta reserves the right to suspend or permanently block businesses that violate WhatsApp policies. ClickChat actively monitors usage and reserves the right to restrict accounts in case of violations to maintain compliance.

8. Updates to Meta Policy

Meta frequently updates its compliance rules. ClickChat will ensure customers are notified of changes and that all active accounts remain compliant with the latest policies.
